Considering a new perspective

It's nice to get out into the fresh air and have a walk to clear your mind. I enjoy finding something to look out for. Today, after a rainy weekend I found lots of cool reflections of all the building in puddles on the floor.

We often get so caught up in our daily lives that sometimes we forget to take time to remember things that are dear to us. Those precious moments in the day that are all about you and doing something that just calms your inner soul and brings a deep joy.

The inspiration for the current peice I have been working on was of old memories of cmy childhood growing up in Hong Kong. My parents enjoyed the outdoor lifestyle and we spent every weekend and holiday somewhere on a beach. I did all kinds of water sports that brought me close to, around and sometimes under many boats! I enjoyed drawing the old chinese style junk (boat) when I was young since then have a firm idea and imagine in my mind of how I like them to look in my drawings. As an artist, ideas are forever flowing all the time and ideas evolve.

Here are some of the beginning stages for my new piece, which shall be featured on my website.
