First exhibition inspiration!

When I quit my job to become a full time artist, I can look back now and see that I had no idea what that meant. When I finished my job and started working on AranaART, I knew I needed a goal to aim for and so decided to have an art exhibition. By having an exhibition I could let people know I was serious about my change in career also allowing myself to see if I could do it.
Starting off with limited funds, i thought the fastest way to get this going is to just go for it! And so I did... I expect, not to be earning much income over the next 12 months so I also needed to consider keeping my costs low. While I could have gone the 'hard sell' way and approached all the galleries in town. I was totally unconfident doing this, not for lack of self confidence... Let's face it, quitting my stable job and income was the hard part! I have left 2 careers behing in different industries and I was well aware that I had absoulutely no idea what I was doing! Fortunatly my passion for bringing people together, lead me to try doing a 'pop up' exhibition! So I found my space, respectfully seeked permission and just invited people to come!

POP UP exhibitions it now what I'm focused on over the next 10 months. This idea came to me when I was wondering how on earth a person working solo was going to manage to to a pop up exhibition!? LADDERS!!!! Hong Kong Style, workmen style ladders! Paint them, load them with art! AND after you are finished they stack nicely away... So Ladders, were the inspiration to this POP UP exhibition style! So watch out Hong Kong... you never know when AranaART will just suddenly POP UP!!
