Happy Easter 2014

As I sit here, enjoying my last chocolate latte for Easter 2014, quietly reflecting on what Easter has meant to me over all these years. As I was born in Australia, I remember Easter was a really exciting time. Parents caught glimpses of the Easter bunny feasting in the garden! At Easter, it was a time to visit church and find our Easter eggs on Easter Sunday. It was also a time when family gathered together to feast. Upon our arrival in Hong Kong, I was just about to turn 8, I looked around and grew very suspicious about the Easter bunny… lets face it! I’d just been through Christmas, wondering how on earth Santa got round ALL those little flats!? And where did the Easter eggs get left? HAHAHA We were also given an ice cream and told to tell Nanna M that we did go to church in HK, I was willing to do ANYTHING to get out of going to church! HK church just wasn’t fun like I had remembered church in Australia… for a start is was called St Anne’s!!! Wasn’t that who Nanna M had warned me about??? This Easter, I choose to take time out of life and self reflect. In today’s world, everything is just so busy all the time, sometimes it’s really good to just stop and take some time to look deep within and make sure you are indeed happy. Happy Easter 2014! May you travel closer to happiness xx
